Wedding Video: Shafiq and Noraisyah

It's finally finished, or should I say I finally have the guts to upload the so called "Wedding Video" that I've been working on for more than a month.

Not much to say about it, apart from the fact that this is actually my first ever full-length wedding video. It's not that impressive if it is to be compared with some established wedding video.

The video was shot entirely on my father's NIKON D3100 with a wide angle lens. No steadycam, no slider and pretty much no tripod too. I had to use my bare hands which is not the steadiest hand for a normal person ever. Assuming if I can be categorized as a normal person.

So I was shooting the whole event all by myself and with a little help here and there by the bride's family members. It was really an amazing experience for me and I'm pretty sure it was an exhausting one. But I'm glad I managed to overcome the challenges and finished the shooting as planned, well at least 89% of the plan.

So okay, congratulations for the newlyweds and I wish all happiness to both of you and hope that it will last till the end.

Oh and of course all comments and critics are welcome to help me improve my work in the future.

Pertama kali ternampak atau terlihat wajah wanita kacukan Jepun dan Inggeris ni dalam pertengahan tahun 2011. Siapa dia ni? (video di bawah ini yang ditonton pada pertengahan tahun 2011)

Pada waktu tersebut, memang tidak terlintas dalam fikiran untuk kaji selidik latar belakang wanita yang bertudung ini. Mungkin kerana pertama kali terlihat wajahnya, timbul perasaan yang mana "oh wow, cantik.. tapi sama je dengan perempuan lain kat Malaysia". Jadi persoalan tentang empunya diri tidak timbul kerana merasakan sesuatu yang norma dalam kehidupan seharian.

Namun, beberapa ketika sebelum penulisan ini bermula. Nama Hana Tajima sekali lagi timbul dan ini membuatkan rasa ingin tahu tentang pemilik nama tersebut. Spekulasi yang bermain dalam fikiran yang berlaku dalam tempoh kurang dari 10 minit terjawab dengan penemuan informasi tentang dirinya. Hana Tajima, seorang wanita yang mengrevolusikan pemakaian tudung atau hijab dalam kalangan wanita-wanita muslim seluruh dunia.

Beliau juga merupakan seorang pendatang baru atau saudara baru untuk semua yang beragama Islam. Ini kerana Hana dikatakan memeluk Islam sewaktu umurnya 17 tahun dan dari situ, dia dikatakan mendapati kurangnya variasi dalam fesyen untuk wanita muslim atau muslimah. Bermula sejak itu, dia mula menceburi dalam bidang rekaan fesyen sebelum menubuhkan syarikatnya sendiri iaitu MAYSAA.

Jadi, tersebarlah gaya pemakaian muslimah yang baru dan ia mula dilihat aktif sejak 2-3 tahun lalu (mungkin), kerana sekarang ini ia bagaikan cendawan yang tumbuh selepas hujan. Mana-mana sahaja, pasti akan ada gaya pemakaian yang seakan-akan sama dengan Hana Tajima diperagakan oleh gadis-gadis muslimah di Malaysia.

SONGLAP THE MOVIE: Review and Opinions

Songlap, sebuah filem yang boleh dikategorikan sebagai filem drama/jenayah/thriller yang diarah bersama oleh dua pengarah yang tidaklah selalu kita dengari. Dua pengarah ini, Effendee Mazlan dan Fariza Azlina Isahak merupakan tenaga yang sama dalam menjayakan filem KAMI:The Movie dan juga KAMI:The Series.

Jadi mudah untuk kita jangkakan gaya arahan mereka untuk filem Songlap ni sekiranya pernah menonton filem KAMI:The Movie tersebut. Gaya arahan yang lebih berani untuk mencuba sesuatu yang lain dari lain, tidak keterlaluan jika dikatakan teknik yang mereka gunakan lebih artistik berbanding "kebanyakkan" pengarah-pengarah lain.

Sebelum kita menyentuh tentang filem Songlap ini dengan lebih mendalam, sila tonton dahulu "trailer" untuk filem ini sekiranya belum lagi tahu tentang filem ini.

Jadi, kalau sudah menonton "trailer" filem Songlap ni, maka terhurai lah sedikit sebanyak jalan cerita yang bakal ditonton dari filem penuhnya. Jadi disini tak perlulah untuk saya ceritakan tentang "Storyline" filem ni.

Okay, perkara pertama sekali yang boleh disentuh untuk filem ini adalah tentang pembawakan filem ini yang boleh dikatakan agak perlahan. Ini boleh menjadi sesuatu yang baik atau menjadi sesuatu yang agak membosankan, semuanya terpulang kepada penonton itu sendiri. Tetapi perlu diingatkan juga, filem ini bukanlah sebuah filem Aksi seperti KL Gangster dan yang seangkatan dengannya. Ia lebih berunsur kepada Drama dan Jenayah, tetapi ini tidak bermaksud filem ini sentiasa "Slow" dari awal hingga habis. Penulis dan pengarah berjaya menyelitkan babak-babak yang suspen, komedi, dan juga aksi yang mana ia berjaya mengawal sedikit sebanyak "pace" atau rentak filem ini.

Jalan cerita untuk filem ini kita boleh kategorikan sebagai jalan cerita yang agak "Cliche" atau mudah untuk dijangka. Selepas 30 minit pertama filem, saya menjangkakan penonton boleh mengagak sendiri apa yang bakal terjadi dan apa yang sebenarnya berlaku terhadap kisah hidup karakter-karakter utama yang dipegang oleh dua watak yang bernama Am(Shaheizy Sam) dan Ad(Syafie Naswip). Kedua-dua karakter ini dibawa dengan agak baik oleh pelakon-pelakon ini walaupun ada beberapa babak yang boleh dipertingkatkan lagi lakonannya.

Secara penuhnya, filem ini dihiasi dengan pelbagai karakter dan dibawa dengan baik untuk memberikan impak kepada jalan cerita filem Songlap ini. Kehadiran watak Hawa yang dipegang oleh pelakon berusia 20 tahun Sara Ali ini menjadi titik penting bagi perubahan cerita ini yang membawa kepada kesudahannya. Tetapi terdapa satu watak yang bernama "Kak Jah" atau "Mak Jah" yang tidak dibawa dengan begitu baik oleh pelakonnya yang tidak begitu saya kenali. Tapi secara keseluruhannya, pelakon-pelakon menunjukkan satu usaha yang baik dalam membuatkan persembahan yang "believable" dan yang paling hampir dengan realiti kehidupan.

Dari segi penulisan skripnya pula, filem ini menggunakan bahasa-bahasa yang mudah difahami dan slanga yang digunakan juga agak urban yang kita boleh kaitkan dengan kihudapan seharian kita terutama sekali di bandar Kuala Lumpur. Tetapi masih ada kelemahan dari segi pemilihan perkataan untuk digunakan pada beberapa babak yang menyebabkan ia tampak terlalu "scripted" atau terlalu mengikut skrip. Ini masih berlaku dalam filem kita atas sebab-sebab yang mungkin tidak dapat dielakkan iaitu, kurangnya semakan semula skrip asal dan tidak dipraktiskan dahulu untuk melihat kesinambungan penulisan dengan latar belakang atau "mood" sesebuah babak.

Sejak akhir-akhir ini, filem tempatan menunjukkan peningkatan positif terhadap tahap senimatografi yang ditunjukkan. Mungkin baru sedar atau baru nak mempraktikkan cara yang betul untuk menunjukkan sesebuah babak itu dengan lebih efektif. Jika dibandingkan dengan kabanyakkan filem-filem terdahulu, boleh dikira dengan jari filem-filem yang mempunyai sinematografi yang baik berbanding kebanyakannya yang gagal. Nilai estetika sesebuah filem itu hadir dari kerja sinematografi yang baik. Untuk filem Songlap ini tidak disangkalkan ia merupakan nafas baru untuk kebanyakan filem-filem tempatan yang mana ia memberikan kita sebagai penonton sesuatu tarikan untuk datang ke pawagam untuk menonton sesuatu wayang gambar.

Selain dari itu, filem-filem tempatan kita masih lemah dalam aspek "Audio Design" dan filem Songlap walaupun menunjuk sedikit peningkatan ia masih tidak meletakkan filem ini pada tahap yang boleh dibanggakan. Bunyi merupakan aspek penting dalam sesebuah karya filem dimana ia memberi kehidupan terhadap sesebuah filem itu dan ia memainkan peranan besar dalam memastikan perhatian penonton tidak teralih sepanjang filem. Untuk filem Songlap ini, bunyi ambience atau bunyi persekitarannya boleh didengari secara halus yang mana ia sesuatu yang baik. Bunyi pergerakan masih tidak baik dan ini sedikit sebanyak mengurangkan impak sesebuah aksi dan menjadikan ia kurang lancar. Audio vokal dan audio latar juga tidak disebatikan dengan begitu baik dan ini telah menjadi masalah kepada filem-filem tempatan sejak sekian lama. Sukar untuk dijelaskan melalui penulisan, lebih mudah sekiranya mengambil mana-mana filem tempatan dan bandingkan sedikit dengan filem dari Hollywood yang mana ia menunjukkan perbezaan yang ketara.

Memang tidak adil kalau dibandingkan begitu, tetapi pada zaman moden ini tidak ada yang mustahil untuk dilakukan dan ada pihak yang sudah berjaya untuk melakukannya tanpa memerlukan modal yang besar seperti yang ditunjukkan dari "trailer" dibawah.

"Trailer" diatas adalah sebuah filem pendek "Hujan Panas" arahan Nadiah Hamzah. Seorang pelajar perfileman dari universiti di Amerika Syarikat.

Jika dibandingkan kualiti kedua-dua audio filem ini, nyata menunjukkan filem komersial Songlap sendiri masih banyak perlu diperbaiki untuk mencapai kualiti audio seperti filem pendek Hujan Panas ini, apatah lagi jika ingin mencapai kualiti yang lebih baik dari itu. Jadi dengan ini, diharap filem-filem tempatan akan datang dapat memberi fokus yang lebih baik kepada reka bentuk audio. Ini agar filem-filem kita boleh bersaing dengan filem-filem antarabangsa.

Perkara yang terakhir yang boleh disentuh adalah tentang "Costume Design dan Make Up" yang mana memainkan peranan penting dalam memberi gambaran tentang sesuatu situasi dan "mood". Dari segi umumnya, filem Songlap tiada masalah dari segi pemilihan "costume" atau "wardrobe" kerana ini merupakan filem yang mengisahkan tentang cerita fiksyen dalam dunia sebenar. Jadi ia tidak mendatangkan kesukaran untuk pemilihan pakaian dan solekan. Dari segi "special effects make up" seperti darah, peluh, muntah dan sebagainya ia masih memerlukan konsistensi dan diperbaiki dengan lebih lagi untuk mencapai tahap yang lebih baik lagi untuk masa akan datang. Terdapat sebuah babak kejar mengejar yang melibatkan watak Am(Shaheizy Sam) yang tidak konsisten dari segi jumlah darah dan peluh yang ada pada pakaiannya.

Jadi ini sedikit sebanyak membuatkan ia tidak lancar sekiranya ingin memberikan impak atau kesan sepenuhnya kepada penonton. Tetapi ini bukannya sesuatu yang asing untuk mana-mana filem membuat kesilapan, bahkan filem Hollywood sendiri sering terlepas pandang perkara sekecil ini. Namun sekiranya ia boleh dielakkan, jadi ia akan meningkatkan tahap filem itu kepada tahap yang lebih baik.

Secara kesimpulannya, filem Songlap ini merupakan percubaan baik dari pembikin filem tempatan untuk menghasilkan karya yang berkualiti dan lebih artistik kepada penonton. Berjaya atau tidak itu terpulang kepada objektif pembikin filem dan ia bergantung atas sokongan peminat-peminat filem tidak kira tempatan atau filem antarabangsa. Tiba masanya untuk mentaliti pembikin filem tempatan yang ada "sebahagiannya" yang lebih mementingkan keuntungan berbanding kualiti. Siapa individu-individu tersebut tak perlu diperkatakan, mereka sendiri mesti sedar dan mesti bersaing dengan mentaliti yang lebih besar. Iaitu untuk mengangkat martabat filem tempatan di persada dunia perfileman antarabangsa.

Akan datang, agak dinanti-nantikan adalah karya Yusry (KRU Film) yang baru selesai pengambarannya (dipetik dari laman twitter) iaitu filem Vikingdom. Filem yang dihasilkan oleh gabungan anak tempatan dan tenaga antarabangsa, sememangnya menarik untuk dilihat hasilnya. Diharap ia menjadi 5 hingga 10 kali ganda lebih baik dari Merong Mahawangsa yang boleh diberi pujian untuk percubaan pertama dan bajet yang tidak begitu tinggi.

Sekian ulasan dan pandangan ringkas untuk filem Songlap ini yang diberikan secara telus untuk kebaikan industri perfileman kita. Bukan sahaja untuk masa kini, malah untuk generasi akan datang.

It was a fun shooting and I can only imagine how tired they (the newlywed) are..

Itu yang dapat dikatakan bila menonton filem pendek berjudul "Tomato" arahan Ahmad Zulhilmi Sobri. Ia merupakan sebuah filem pendek yang mengisahkan tentang kehidupan anak-anak muda yang belajar di perantauan. Berlaku sedikit persengketaan dan salah faham. Namun, setiap kesalahan dan pertelingkahan tidak perlu berpanjangan.

Once again.. Im just being "creative" (Kononnye) and shoot some footage at my friend's wedding.If I planned out some of the shots earlier, the end result would be different and better "I think".

Shot using a NIKON D3100 with kit lens, so dont expect a professional level from a very noobish setup.

It's not my intention to shoot a video during this wedding, so please forgive me the sudden end of the video and some of you might even think "what the f is this?".

Hehehe... so what! it's not like I was paid to do this.. -_-

well.. Enough with all these rubbish writings of mine.. the more I write the more obvious how bad is my GRAMMAR.. Sorry English people!! Its not my language.. so.. hehe..

Salam and good day to all.

This post is just for the sake of sharing my thoughts and ideas on my next "art & media" project which is a Short Film. Ehem, When I say next I mean my first project.

What is MEJA?

Meja is the Malay word for "TABLE". So, why table as the main subject of my short film?

I would say because I was not even thinking too much about picking my subject. I just randomly decide to use "MEJA" cos the fact that it is easy to find, its not complicated and also there is a lot of things going on within the subject of table.

Okay, this project is currently in i

t's earliest stage and no confirmation on how, who and when the principal photography will take place. But for sure, this project will be done within the next 2 to 3 months. Hehe..

Projection Mapping

I've been looking into projection mapping recently.. and find it hard to learn by myself about it... Sources in Internet and printed media is not as helpful as I would Imagine...

But hey.. I think its good that they didn't came as easily as I would want cos then I'll be lazy...

so months of small reading on articles regarding the "projection mapping" and weeks of trial and error.. I think, finally I managed to get the grasp of how things being made for this kind of visual art presentation...

But I know I got a long way to go... but here is one sample that I made.. not perfect.. far from it.. but it is I think.. A PROJECTION MAPPING... hehehe :P

From the title of the film one would imagine the film being packed with action, similar to Cloverfield the 2008 monster movie directed by Matt Reeves. Sadly the most actiion you get is from the introduction part of the film and the rest is more into adventure and drama.

What I want to touch here is the budget of the film, cost less than USD600 000 or Around RM1.9m ... WOW that is not much... considering how great the movie look.... although the story is not really that great... It still amazed me how the production company managed to get to this quality...

I really hope film makers in Malaysia can take this movie as an example or maybe a challenge for them to create a film that is better than this... I think it's about time that us Malaysian enjoy a great film from our own country...

We have everything that is needed to make a good film...

Hanyut: an epic Success or an epic failure?

Hanyut, a Malaysian made film based on a novel by Joseph Conrad titled Almayer Folly. The movie's information is really hard to be found as the news is never really accurate... and they dont have any official website as far as I know..

But from my reading about the film in the net and the newspaper... I found out that the movie cost about RM25million(USD8.1m) and that is not a cute budget for a film in Malaysia.. but that is very low if it is to be compare with a Hollywood A-film or even the B-film.....

Comparing this to the other "epic or Mega size" film in Malaysia.. this is by far the biggest budget film ever in Malaysian film history... as far I know.. :D

The film will be played by some rising star of Malaysian film industry such as Diana Danielle and Adyputra... Not only that... it is said that a Hollywood actor "Chris Vance" who is famous for some of his part in Prison Break.... well that is all still just a big hype as there is no exact confirmation from the official site of the movie which is still UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!

No exact date has been announced.... but the Malaysian film directory sinemamalaysia.com state that it will be released in 2010...

No teaser or trailer has yet to be release for public viewing... and this makes me thinking if the film is in some kind of trouble or they just playing it very close to their chest...

Ultimately.. only time will tell if the movie is an epic success or an epic failure...

Pada dasarnya, anda lihat kedua-duanya saling bertentangan dari segala segi, namun pada hakikatnya, semakin kita berlainan, semakin perlakuan kita sama. Adam dan Rafaat melambangkan perpaduan, toleransi dan penerimaan di antara perbezaan bangsa dan ini dapat dilihat melalui persahabatan mereka.

Sepanjang pengajian mereka, kedua-duanya dikehendaki menawarkan diri ke dalam program sosial semasa musim cuti semester. Mereka membuat keputusan untuk membantu di sebuah Rumah Anak Yatim di Malaysia. Mereka pun bertolak ke pantai timur Malaysia di mana mereka bertemu dengan MAK ENGKU, ketua Rumah Anak Yatim tersebut yang amat penyayang. Mereka juga bertemu dengan AFIQ, salah seorang penghuni anak yatim yang amat aktif dan nakal tetapi mudah disayangi. Perilaku Afiq yang lasak dan menyanjungi kehidupan telah membuka mata rakan berdua tadi untuk menghargai kehidupan. Semasa di sana juga mereka dapat melihat sendiri kesusahan yang ditempuhi para penghuni Rumah Anak yatim itu. Mereka juga memahami cinta tanpa batasan dan bagaimana untuk memperbaiki kehidupan masing-masing.

Alhamdulillah... itulah ape yang nak dikatakan lepas mendengar khabar berita yang indah tu.. :D
agak kecewa sebab tak dapat hadirkan diri ke stadium untuk join geng HARIMAU MALAYA yang tak henti2 menyokong pasukan kebangsaan kita.

But, despite being happy with the news of our team success. I was shocked with news of there are some Malaysian or should I say some stupid Malaysian who thinks they are Koreans. If only I got the photos of this embarrassing thing.. I would have post it here and show how ungrateful these people with our beloved country.

Enough already with this stupid incident. Lets just be proud and gave the support to our Malaysian Football Team.... they are now preparing for the Asian Games in China later this year..

The project was an assignment of the production class in MMU, where we have to shot and produce a short documentary on a life of a unique profession. The short documentary was shot in HD but wasn't produced in full HD(1080p) with no surround sound.

The project were supposed to be uploaded and shared with everyone in youtube, but due to some problem in the final cut of the short documentary, the intention was dropped and now I am looking forward to re-edit the whole project from scratch.

Malaysian football fans were already disappointed with the friendly between Malaysia and Real Madrid will not take place. As the focus now turns to the match between Malaysian squad with the Malaysian owned Cardiff City, the bad news seems to repeat itself with the Cardiff side planning to go to Portugal for their pre-season warmup games.

Its been a while since we last see our national team in action and till now, the so call friendly with the foreign club side is yet to be turn to reality. Some fans are criticizing the move made by the FAM to go for friendlies against some foreign club side like their recent stint in Turkey, although the national squad won all the games played there but the game level will never be known by us Fans or Malaysian as there is no coverage of the game over there.

As a football lover and a Malaysian, I think it is time that a drastic changes must be made in the management of our football. The FAM has shown their inability to impress the fans and get them back to the stadium for local league matches, and they stated that it is not the FAM fault(it was stated in a talk show in Astro Arena by the general secretary Dato' Azzudin Ahmad). Fan site like Harimaumalaya.com is already becoming dull with old news and this is certainly a bad sign for the local football. I do know that this is world cup period and everyone is just busy with betting and supporting their favourite team, but this should not be an excuse for Malaysian football to take a break and it will be 100 times better for the national squad to get as much friendlies as they can in this period. There is only 32 countries that participate in the world cup and there is more than 200 countries registered with FIFA.

I don't see any valid reason why the Malaysian side could not get any friendlies with their counterparts from all over the world. The FAM should have planned their friendlies for at least 6 month ahead of world cup as we already know that we wont be contesting in the competition and many other country will also be watching the competition instead of participating.

Friendly match with Real Madrid- canceled

Friendly match in Turkey- Done

Friendly match with Cardiff City- looking good to be cancel

Friendly match with Korean U23- still just a rumors

At the end of the day, this article will just be another football fans article that will never be taken seriously by the FAM or any related agencies or ministry department as they too busy dreaming in their fancy office. More and more Malaysian are changing nationality in supporting football and dont be surprise if there is no more Malaysian support for beautiful game of football.

The same people has lead the football scene and no real result in more than 25 years, and that is a no-brainer to anyone that something very obvious needs to be change. what is it?? look at the "highest place" among us.

Selangor vs Kedah

The clash between the two team was suppose to be an amazing one, but things was not going to plan for the canaries where they have to face the fact that Selangor deserve to be on the top of the league. Playing in Shah Alam Stadium, the canaries was humiliated with 4 goals by Selangor.

It was a beautiful game played by the Red Giant, as their passing was very good. The flow of the game is actually quite smooth and its good to see this in the local Malaysian League. Below is the video of last night match between Selangor and Kedah.

My Trip To Bali!!

Woooh... lamenye x update blog...

ok here u go... and just to clear things up... there are lots of halal foods in Bali... you guys can check it out HERE...

For this trip.. I stayed at Bali's Hard Rock Hotel... which is AMAZING!! but its a 4 star hotel =_='' The hotel situated opposite to the famous KUTA beach.... :D

The first day start with a tour by our tour guide.... We went to the second famous beach called as Nusadua... Its a clear water beach with white sand but the wave is not as strong as Kuta's... Kuta beach is famous for their surfing sport...

that place is amazing.... its a temple at the edge of a cliff.... It was like a Movie setting... Im not sure if this kind of place exist in Malaysia...

Whats the point of going to Bali if you're not surfing... :D

But.. of course... kena la blaja surfing dulu :D..... atas pasir senang je :D

and now for the real thing... I start my surfing around 9.00 in the morning... the wave is just starting... a great time to learn surfing... cos by 10 a.m the wave is just getting bigger and bigger...

I play around with the wave.... and its quite easy when the wave was smaller :D but as it gets bigger I kept falling down... I remember that I only manage to surf the big wave for only 3 times.... =_='' out of 1000 times of failed attempts... Jom surfing this Nov-Dec at cherating... :D Penat surfing... tgk la sunset plak.... :D

Bali is a very happening place... From day till nite... there is always something to do... maybe that is why 'Mat Saleh' really like this place... Most of the beautiful girls here are not from Bali.... -_-'' but its all depends on your taste la... :D EXOTIC!! WOO!!

At nite... we will hang out at Hard Rock Hotel Center Stage.... its a bar with a stage behind the bar.... its a top 40 cover band... so what else you can expect from them... great entertainers.... :D

so that is basically all the daily stuff that can be done in Bali... and there is also the shopping... which is not my thing... You could spend 4 days in Bali but you still feel its not enough... damn...

Enuf with that... ok... I will be going to BALI this week...(Flight esok...) wooo quite excited for this trip... Im gonna be staying at HARD ROCK HOTEL!! YEAH!!!

Woooo!!!! Its been quite a while since I last updated my blog...

Had a trip with these dudes to Mersing recently...

The trip start from Putrajaya with everyone except Afiq Busuk~~ as he is already in Kluang Johor.. :D
Using Adibir's Uncle trusty and reliable "ALPHARD" :D we reach Kluang and stayed at Hotel Bentono(Home of Afiq busuk~~)... The next day, we make our way to Mersing... which take less than 1 and a half hour to reach from Kluang...

This is our first time.. well at least for Me,Adibir,Yot, & Nik Pulau...

When we arrive at Mersing... it already noon... so its kinda hot... and we have no idea what to do... so we just hang around for a while... setup our tent... :D eat some "Kacang".....

well not much photo that can show what we did on our first day in Mersing... Cos our cameras and sea water do not mix up pretty well... :D but there are some silly and "artistic" picture that we snap....

Night falls... we kinda stuck with nothing to do... so we decided to go sight seeing the night life in Mersing lil' town... In search of local delicacies :D

Next day... we went for some fishing before heading back to Kluang... not a lot to show... cos Im just too lazy to upload the pictures... :D

Malaysian Super League Week 1

Last night was the kick off for the new season of Malaysian Super League. 7 games was played last night with Negeri Sembilan vs Selangor available LIVE to be watch from TV1(Malaysia). The clash between Negeri Sembilan and Selangor was for the title of Community Shield and it also affects the team standing in the league.

From the quality of the game, there are not much improvement can be seen unlike our national team and this is quite dissapointing as fans are hoping that players can show an improvement after long break. The game ended with Selangor taking the title and the important 3 points for the start of the season. Its still early and no real indication of which team will be dominant this season. Lets hope that the quality of the game will improve as the season continue.

National U23 players to Europe?

Ministry of sport and youth... Head by Datuk Ahmad Syabery Cheek are now in a HIGH FLYING DREAM to get the National U23 Squad to Europe. It is to be said that FAM had agreed for this idea. Our U23 players which comprising of players who are way pass the age of exposure are viewed by the Ministry as the only hope for the revival of our National Football.

To me, this is a short term plan for success which cannot be use for our critical and dying football scene. Right after the success of our U23 squad in winning the GOLD MEDAL in the SEA GAME, the ministry led by Datuk Syabery Cheek are eager to get their hands on the team to show that they care about football in general. The ministry move to flow in RM50 million for the development of football looks to be fair. After all, it is about time that the football development in Malaysia get this kind of fund.

But then, more and more shocking ideas are being implemented by the ministry. The first is to not let the players compete in the local M-League. The reason is very true but also very wrong, yes the local league like the Malaysian Super League are not the best in quality for our players. But if the national team players are prevented to play in a competetive matches, they wont make any more improvement and this is not good for our football development. But then, a very hilarious and shocking idea from the ministry came to public. They(the ministry) want to buy all the national team players contract from their current clubs in hope to get them an exposure in the top leagues from Europe.

This is very wrong and very should I say uneducated move by the ministry. They obviously don't know anything about the history of our football. The last time that our local players were send to play in Europe end up nowhere. Why? This is because the players who got send to get their exposure in Europe are simply not good enough and have no passion for success. Week in and week out the players are not getting any improvement and they end up losing their chance to get a contract. Now the ministry are set to repeat this horrible history.

The ministry should use their resources to improve the quality of development in our youth football and maybe sending our youth players to Europe to get the best exposure in their early age. The Fam on the other hand should use the resources they have to improve an maintain the quality of our local competitions. They(FAM) also need to make more and more high quality friendlies for our national team so they can earn a good experience from that matches. Recently our national team beat Syria by 4 goals to 1 and we are not sure whether this is the REAL Syrian national team or not. Even FIFA did not list it in Malaysia fixtures as an International A match which is important for our national team ranking.

Lastly, I just want to ask all Malaysian to give their full support to our local football and use this as a way for us Malaysian to get together and unite to achieve a stronger Nation.

P/S: Pasukan kebangsaan kalah tipis 1-0 ke tangan UAE dalam perlawanan Kelayakan Piala Asia 2011 di Dubai semalam. Walaupun pasukan kita kalah, namun ia menunjukkan peningkatan pasukan kita kerana dalam pertemuan sama sebelum ni yang berlangsung di Kuala Lumpur tahun lalu, pasukan kita tewas 5-0 dihadapan penyokong sendiri.

Its unbelievable to hear that our young National Team defeated the higher ranking nation Syria by 4 goals. I was there at the stadium to witness this glory win over the Middle Eastern side. Many skeptical fans are questioning the fact that Malaysia won in the friendly game. Some say the Syrian side was represented by their Students who are studying here and some say that Syria send a fake national team like what Zimbabwe did to Malaysia in 2009.

The Syrian football team that played in the friendly is their National Team and they had stated their reason for this humiliating performance in their website. It was said that the players suffer from great level of fatigue due to the league games. The other reason is due to long flight hours and the weather in Malaysia. That may be some of the factor for their bad performance, but in football anything can happen. Malaysia come out as the best team in that game and I don't see why people should question this good result.

Enough said about this game, whatever it is the Malaysian side receive a great warm up game for their final clash with UAE in the AFC Asian Cup Qualifier. Although the Tiger's chances to qualify seems to be impossible people should not gave up on the team just yet. We need to support the team in any way we can so that the team can erase the humiliating 5-0 loss to the Arabian side.

Sekalipun kita menang dalam perlawanan menentang syria ni, kita tak boleh la mendabik dada pulak. Kita sebagai peminat/penyokong/pecinta pasukan Kebangsaan dan bola sepak mesti tahu yang perjalanan pasukan ni baru je bermula. Menang emas dan "friendly" x bermaksud kita dah hebat. Jadi kepada rakyat Malaysia, janganla letakkan harapan yang terlalu tinggi buat masa ni sebab nanti kalau Kalah... kita jugak yang kecewa lebih. Sekarang ni apa yang kita boleh buat adalah beri sokongan(datang la stadium...)

Tak kisah la Melayu ke... Cina ke... India ke... Singh ke... Kadazan ke.. ah banyak la lagi... semua patutnya datang la ke stadium... Meriahkan balik suasana sukan Kat Malaysia ni... Tiket tak pernah mahal pon.. X pernah sampai RM100 kalau local games... kadang2 free pulak...

Ok... just got my Astro Byond this morning... wooh!! excited.... I dun think I have a proper equipment to give u guys the images comparison for this review.. so lets start the review...

Registered for this package about 3-4 days prior to today's seting up... quite fast.. :D after everything was setup nicely.. The box need a software updates I think.. It tooks only 3-4 minutes.. after that... I am ready to watch the available channel in HD....

The first Channel that uncle bukak was HBO HD... and I was amazed by the level of detail this HD thing give... Oh... I set it at 1080i of course... Enuf with the HD quality...of course its beautiful... Im not sure about the sound quality... cos I dun have any home theater set for now... but Im sure it will be great with a 5.1 Dolby Digital.... but now lets go to the new interface... Its faster... and the interactivity seems easier than before... but you need some getting used to the new remote... the buttons were not placed properly.... but that doesn't concern me....

Lets talk about the current package....

For people like me who enjoy Movies,Documentaries and sports... This package seems to be the must have item for this new year..... Not to mention the upcoming channel ESPN HD which will be available in January... EPL,Champs League,F1,Tennis... u name it.. All gonna be in HD... 2010 is also the year of the World Cup... I just finished recording a new song... The song titled "Regrets" will be available for listen at my MYSPACE MUSIC site...

Regrets
I wrote the song back in 2008 and at the time I have no intention in recording it as I don't have the necessary equipment to make it happen. But as time goes by.. I end up recording it anyway... :D

The reason that I wrote this song is because I just want to mess around with my abilities of guitar playing.. There is a video of JOE SATRIANI (Guitar Virtuoso) in youtube.. and in that video he gave an advice to all developing guitarist to not spending too much time in practicing the techniques or scales.. he said it is better if a guitarist try to make their own music...

Recorded the whole song by using my own computer and gears... The quality is a rookie one la :D
so dont expect a quality the same as a professional recording artist...

The original output was WMA but have to convert to MP3 for smaller file size... but the MP3 version sounded quite noisy... I dont understand it... Very Noob in this recording stuff...

Ramai yang tak tahu apa jadi dengan pasukan bola sepak Kebangsaan kita... Baru2 ni mereka menang dalam perlawan persahabatan menentang pasukan Indonesia.

Kurangnya perhatian dari pihak media antara faktor yang menyebabkan ramai peminat bola sepak di Malaysia tidak tahu tentang perkembangan semasa bola sepak tempatan. Minat yang semakin malap oleh peminat tempatan terhadap bola sepak tanah air ini banyaknya didorong oleh keghairahan mereka dengan liga-liga utama dari eropah.

Tidak salah untuk mereka menyokong mana2 club dari luar, tetapi janganlah sampai lupa dengan tempat sendiri. Pasukan kebangsaan kini semakin meningkat dari segi prestasi yang ditunjukkan, pasukan U16, U18, U23 dan senior kini kian merapatkan jurang dengan pasukan gergasi asia yang lain.

Kita tidak lagi menjadi pasukan belasahan, contohnya seperti ketika Malaysia hanya tewas tipis ditangan Arab Saudi yang mana mereka ketika itu sedang bersiap sedia untuk merebut tempat Play Off untuk ke World Cup.

Kemana menghilang penyokong2 Malaysia ketika perlawanan pasukan kebangsaan, contohnya ketika Malaysia menentang pasukan China baru-baru ini. Tak sampai 20% pon kapasiti stadium Shah Alam dipenuhi. Kemana pergi rakyat Malaysia yang lain?

Kini terdapat sekumpulan peminat yang menggelarkan diri mereka sebagai Ultras Malaya yang mempunyai prinsip untuk sentiasa menyokong tidak kira menang atau kalah. Melalui laman web http://www.harimaumalaya.com

Everyone seems to be quite happy... as for me.. Im very glad that I got the chance to come to such event... I was actually very worry about what Im going to do without a speedlight.. heh.. But I do some quick research on how to do a runway photography and I found out that it is best to avoid using flash.

Because runway usually are very well lit and using flash will make other photographer who is not using flash angry.. I know I am... Well thats all... Its a very long post...

Karting in Shah Alam :D

Location: Besides Shah Alam Stadium.

The initial plan was to have 6 people to play the kart.. but someone decided to sleep rather than joining this karting activity.

The karting cost us RM30 per session.. but that is because we play for 2 sessions.. It was actually RM35+RM50 for deposit..

Malaysia U19 are currently playing in the AFC U19 Asian Cup Qualifier in China. The youngsters are placed along side host nation China and North Korea. Other teams in the group are Myanmar, Guam and The Philippines. Malaysia consisting a mixture of Harimau Muda and Bukit Jalil Sports School players.

The team played against Myanmar in their first game and won 4-0 with Thamil Arasu scoring a hat trick.. and another goal was scored by Wan Zahrulnizam Zakaria. Today they face the much more superior North Korean which kicked off at 3.00 pm local time.

The game finished with the North Koreans win the game with 2-1 scoreline. This actually show that our youngsters are slowly improving themselve.. Even though they lose the game... but its not until the 44th minute that the North Korean open their scoring.. Their second goal came 17 minutes into the second half... Malaysia got their consolation goal 8 minutes before full time..

Papepon... ni membuktikan... bahawa bola sepak kita masih boleh diselamatkan..

Steve Vai recently released his new DVD titled Where The Wild Things Are... It was shot back in 2007.. Live in Minneapolis.

It is another great DVD from this Master Guitarist with his great guitar skills and and great composition. This new DVD Include a lot of my own favourite track from Mr.Vai, like "For The Love of God", "Tender Surrender" and also "Die To Live".

Its a must have for all Vai's fans... and its worth it for any instrumental lovers and of course it is a great one for any music lovers. This new video also the first one to show vai's new band members... consisting some great and fine musician..

Indonesia and Malaysia

Ganyang Malaysia... tu la yang segelintir rakyat Indonesia dok perkatakan sejak akhir akhir ni.. mereka nak serang dan tawan Malaysia. Fuh... besar plan tu...

What is the main problem here?? What Cause this group of Indonesian to hate Malaysian so much?
Why must they attack? What will they get from this?

Semua tu persoalan yang aku sendiri pon tak berapa nak clear sangat...

tapi papepon... semua tu adalah nonsense...

They(BENDERA) said that Malaysian sweep the Indonesian workers in Malaysia... well from the look of it... Its the right thing to do... If they dont have a proper work permit they cant stay here and work rite?

so what is the wrong in that... Even though we are serumpum it doesn't mean that the law can be overlook for the illegal workers in Malaysia.

They said that Malaysian abuse the workers here in Malaysia.. This is true... We have cases where Indonesia Maid were abuse. The guilty Malaysian who did this I think already been given their punishment. But Its not like every Indonesian maid in Malaysia abused by their employer.

Another reason for the group to attack Malaysia is because they claim Malaysia to steal their island like sipadan for example. The Island is there and we did not move it away :D

Both government had settled down with who has the right to have the island. So I dont see anymore problem here?

They also said that we steal their cultural heritage like the food RENDANG.. and cultural songs like RASA SAYANG... to me this is total ridiculous... WE ARE THE SAME.... so there is no reason for them to feel that we have steal their cultural heritage as we are the same... only the dialect of our Bahasa Melayu sounded different...

Lets say that they really attack Malaysia.. Do you think its the right thing to do? Indonesia are to be said as the largest Muslim country rite? Is this the way of Islam? NO!

There is no reason for a muslim to go to war without a proper reason.. and as we have look with what BENDERA had stated.. the reason just seems like a simple misunderstood... If they really attack Malaysia then they already turn their back againts God's will..

Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy

This is a Fan-made movie.. Just finished watching it...

A movie by Hive Division, they started this project for about 3 years ago and they just finished it and released it recently. As a fan of Metal Gear Solid Saga.. You wont find the exact details from their game counterpart.. But they do have the BAD-ASS Snake's Voice... :D

The story wise, I think its a made up version of MGS but still it's good enough to be watch. The visuals are pretty impressive for an independent team to do it and I think film maker from Malaysia should study on how to make a better quality movie from this fan-made film.

The Sound and Music from this movie is great to listen... they fit with the movie and story I think.. not the best but still its not gonna make you cover your ears..

Overall the movie is really nice to watch.. but dont expect it to be like a Hollywood Blockbuster movie la..

4/5 from me :D

Bola sepak, da lama sukan ni wujud dekat Malaysia. Sejak zaman jajahan British lagi dan memang dah terbukti memang sukan ni merupakan sukan kegemaran orang2 kat Malaysia ni.

kalau kita flashback jap tengok zaman 70-an dengan 80-an Malaysia memang antara pasukan asia yang gempak la.. x boleh nak dinafikan.. tapi tu semua dulu... janganla asyik nak tengok benda lama sampai benda baru terabai.. sekarang kita punya bola sepak memang dalam tahap paling kritikal. Hanya ada dua je kesudahan untuk bola sepak Malaysia ni. Sama ada akan meningkat atau akan mati.

Apa punca bagi semua masalah ni? kalau nak dicerita satu2 memang x habis2 la... kita ambik yang paling umum skali.. MENTALITI merupakan punca utama kemerosotan standard bola sepak Malaysia ni. Mentaliti pengurusan, jurulatih, pemain, media & penyokong. Setiap satu ni menyumbang kepada kejatuhan bola sepak negara.

The Star 23 August 2009, ada menerbitkan satu artikel yang menunjukkan situasi sebenar bola sepak Malaysia. Article The Star yang ditulis Eric Samuel ni sememangnya menyedihkan sebab ia menunjukkan bola sepak negara kita sangat2 teruk sampaikan ada perlawanan yang hanya dihadiri oleh 11 orang je.. Macam mana nak bayar gaji player?

Ramai orang nak salahkan FAM je, tapi tak pikir diorang yang menyalahkan FAM ni kebanyakannye x jejak kaki pon kat stadium. Tapi ni x bermaksud yang FAM ni betul, diorang ni pon same je.. FAM dah berjaya untuk menjadi satu badan professional yang paling x professional kat Malaysia (mungkin dunia). Tiap2 season... liga kat malaysia tak pernah nak elok.. ada sekali tu dalam liga ade 8 team je.. ceh! gila tak best.. nak tengok pon xde semangat... pastu improve la bila dorg tukar ke 14 team...tapi secara tibe2 ade team tarik diri jadi la 13 team sebab FAM xnak evenkan number tu =='

Ban untuk Foreign player... untuk tempoh 3-4 tahun ni rasanye xpe kot ban foreign player sebab sekarang ni team2 nak bayar gaji player pon semput... ade yang x bayar pon... bayangkan la.. da la main penat2 kat padang tu... pastu x dapat gaji plak.. player yang da berfamily sendiri memang sakit la... Team2 ni semput sebab gate collection terlalu sikit... Memang logikla kalau orang xnak pi stadium bila tgk game pon hampeh.... tapi sikap ni sbenarnye yang jadi punca untuk banyak masalah..

Redang.... memang x penah pegi sbelom ni... so kali ni ade peluang utk menyelit aku pon menyelit la... :D

gerak ari khamis malam.. naik bas double-decker... 7 jam kot atas bas... da la xley tido... sejuk plak tu... cis..

sampai kat kuala terengganu kol 5.30 kot... mmg awal gile la.. dok tunggu la sampai pagi... sbelom kitorang bole naik bot... breakfast2 dulu... kol 8 tepat.. kitorang gerak pi jeti....(30 minit dari K.terengganu)

tup tap tup tap... naik la bot kol 9...(45 minit) sampai je kat Resort kitorang tu(Redang Reef Resort)... menunggu lagi.. sbb bilik tu org baru nak check out.. papepon.. mendengar taklimat "penting" dari Mr.Phua Chu Kang... :D

dalam kol 10.30 baru la boley masuk bilik.. da masuk bilik mmg tido la aku.. sbb kol 2.30 kang ade 1st trip pi snorkeling..

Kol 2... kitorang pon bersiap nak gi snorkeling yang mana akan di bawa oleh abang ding(slang ganu kan tambah G kat blakang die :D).. kol 3.15 baru naik bot(kate kol 2.30...) dengan bot yang agak lembab... dekat 20 minit baru sampai kat tempat snorkeling tu...

Bila da masuk air...

CANTIK GILA DOW!!!! rase cam masuk dalam cerita "Finding Nemo"... lama gak la berenang-renang kat situ... tapi mase kat situ aku pakai life jacket... so agak restricted la renangan ala-ala michael phelps aku ni... :D

kol 5 balik bilik... aku xtahan dow.. dalam bas x tido.. penat sangat da ni... aku pon ape lagi.. tido la... yang lain pi main ombak kat pantai dia... dalam kol 7 aku bangun... utk makan2... pastu balik bilik sambung tido sampai esok...(nampak cam lame je aku tido..) padahal ada la aktiviti sket sbelom nak tido sket ;p

2nd day.. ari yang kedua ni la yang paling best skali... pagi kol 9.30 pi underwater park... mmg heaven gila.. tgk coral... bagi ikan makan.. tgk belut besar nak mampos.... igtkan die nak makan aku... rupenye die nak ikan yang ade kat tangan bro yang jadi guide kitorang... kat sini aku bukak life jacket.. hehehe... dapat la berenang ala-ala michael phelps... :D

sementara nak menunggu kol 5... aku pon pi la tangkap2 gambar.....

petang tu kitorang men ombak... best gak la... takde free show plak petang tu... ish ==' kecewa...

petang tu gak aku ikot bro ding pi tgk black tip shark... bapak rapat coral ngan kaki... da la tak pakai life jacket.. bukan nak riak la... tapi terpaksa tunjukkan kehebatan skill renangan aku.. XD

malam tu mkn2 pastu lepak2 jap..... dalam kol 11.30 centu aku pon pi snorkeling atas katil...

3rd day... kitorang pon bersiap untuk berangkat pulang... kol 8 kitorang da gerak dari redang pi jeti... sbb hari sbelomnye ade bot delay.. so nak elakkan dari problem nanti... kitorang gerak awal... dok la kat k.terengganu tu 3 jam(dok McD je... :D)

kol 1 naik bas... dalam kol 8 sampai la KL.. rase happy+penat+lapar+penat xley tido dalam bas.. papepon... trip ni worth it la... :D

Next time pi redang.. aku nak amek scuba diving punye lesen... boley pi tgk ikan pari besar ngan barracuda.. (bukan topi busuk)... ==''

Sabtu-18 Julai 2009, hari ni bangun seawal yang boleh(6.30pg ==') kononnye nak ikot cakap Che Ahmad Azhar A.K.A Che Mad! untuk buat aktiviti urban photography. Hehehe, nak asah bakat jadi photographer...

Tapi bangun awal bukannye kuar umah awal pon... Makan2 jap kat umah... pastu ter-tengok Bourne Ultimatum pulak... =='' last2 kol 8 baru kuar umah...

Lokasi yang nak dituju ni Masjid Jamek... Kenderaan TP 2565 x pakai... hehehe kurangkan budget... lagipon nak baynyak berjalan...(MMG JAUH AKU JALAN!)... Jadi akupon nek LRT dari umah ke stesen Masjid Jamek... bila dah dalam train terasa malas plak nak pi menangkap gambar... ==''tapi sbb dah bayar dan dah jauh.... teruskan jugak la....

Sampai je kat Masjid Jamek... =='' xtau nak snap ape... Masjid xley masuk plak(kene wat surat)... menyampah betul.... Jadi berjalan-jalan la aku meninjau lokasi... dari masjid jamek aku ke central market dgn kaki je... sampai sane pon macam terawal so x se-busy yg aku sangkekan... xpela... da sampai da... snap je la ape yg ade....

Pastu akupon sambung balik merayau-rayau... agak2 cam best je aku snap... hasilnye... gambar yg tak best.... F*CK tol!

Sambung jalan balik... akupon menuju ke Dataran Merdeka... WOOO!!! PANAS!!! Rase nak pengsan pon ade.... naseb baik dekat2 situ ade 7Eleven.... dapat la beli food sket....

Fuh.. sampai situ je aku da penat... tapi ni baru half way.... BAPAK LA!!! next... aku pon berjalan la menghala ke Stesen Bas PUDU.... Banyak sangat bende kat situ... tapi x byk yg aku tangkap.. ==''

Jadi tamat la aktiviti sabtu ni... nak prepare tgk MU lawan Malaysia... Aku rase MU kalahkan Malaysia 3-1 hahahaha....(kalo boleh Malaysia menang 1-0)

Indo lain la... 1st half game agak berterabur... passing asek x jadi je.... tapi gol gak... =='' 2nd half ade improvement cume Indonye defense berusaha gigih xnak bagi bolos... endingnye 1-0

Trip ke gunung datuk... utk aku ngan raje ni 1st time la... tapi utk aslam ngan adibi ni da 3 kali da dorg pi.. :|

Cadangnye nak gerak awal... tapi disebabkan oleh faktor budak2 bangun lambat.. kol 8 lebey baru gerak.. xpela... nak dipendekkan cerita... sampai kat

kol 12.30 kot.... pastu siap punye siap... kol 12.44 kitorang naik... bermula la kisah pendakian pendaki2 hebat!! :D

ni la pendaki2 tu... yg hebat baju oren tu la :D

Aku rase COD berpotensi dow jadi drummer... die ketuk memang bersemangat habis la...

Lagi satu vokalis... hish... bosan tol men lagu xde vokalis... bagaikan main bola sambil bogel... ish... adiy la ni... malu2 plak nak nyanyi.... KEPADA sape2 yang nak jadi penyanyi standard dalam studio jamming... janganla segan2 nak offer diri tu...
